Abstract:
Production of press-quenched components, especially chassis parts, made from a semi-finished product (2) made from unhardened hot deformed sheet steel comprises molding a component blank (10) from the semi-finished product by cold drawing, especially drawing, cutting the blank on an edge contour (12') closely corresponding to the component (1) being produced, heating the cut blank and press-quenching in a hot deforming tool, and coating with a corrosion-protection layer. An independent claim is also included for a press-quenched component produced by the above process.
