PURPOSE: To prevent the remaining of molten metal in a pouring siphon by forming the bottom part of a molten metal pouring chamber formed at the horizontal part of the pouring siphon to the downward inclining condition toward both ends of the longitudinal direction of the bottom part from this center.
CONSTITUTION: The molten metal pouring chamber 32 is supported with a connecting part flange 39 at the lower part and the bottom part 34b of a pouring trough 34 in the molten metal pouring chamber 32 is formed as the downward inclination toward both end parts of the longitudinal direction from the center part. That is, the center part is formed to higher by (h) than both the end parts in the longitudinal direction. Therefore, the molten metal continuing to shift in the pouring trough 34 at the time of stopping the molten metal tapping work is tapped through a pouring nozzle 34a in the large part thereof and the remained part is reversely flowed to pouring siphon 33 and returned back into a crucible 11 and is not remained in the bottom part 34b of the pouring trough 34 in the molten metal pouring chamber 32. By this constitution, the clogging of the pouring nozzle 34a caused by solidifying of the remained molten metal is prevented and the molten metal tapping work is easily reopened.
