Abstract:
PURPOSE: To provide a corrosion inhibiting method and a corrosion inhibitor for metal surfaces particularly effective in a high heat flux and low conductivity closed cooling system.
CONSTITUTION: The corrosion inhibitor is a mixture of sorbitol and an alkali metal gluconate, and an alkali metal boric acid salt can also be added. In this corrosion prevention process, 5 to 4000 ppm of sorbitol and 5 to 4000 ppm of alkali metal gluconate are retained in the flow of a cooling agent.
