Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a primer for detecting with high sensitivity whether any meat is used in a test food and feed by finding a species-specific DNA region in the gene sequence of a mitochondoria cytochrome b of cattle, swine and fowl and amplifying the gene using the primer capable of amplifying the DNA region.
SOLUTION: Disclosed are the primer for detectably amplifying a part of the cattle mitochondoria cytochrome b gene by performing PCR reaction under a predetermined condition without detectably amplifying a mitochondoria cytochrome b gene of other species, a primer for detectably amplifying a part of the swine mitochondoria cytochrome b gene by performing the PCR reaction under the predetermined condition without detectably amplifying a mitochondoria cytochrome b gene of other species and the primer for detectably amplifying a part of the fowl mitochondoria cytochrome b gene by performing the PCR reaction under the predetermined condition without detectably amplifying a mitochondoria cytochrome b gene of other species.
