Title:
PRIMERLESS WATERPROOFING LAMINATE
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPH02229033
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To produce a waterproofing laminate adaptable at low temp. by constituting a bituminous layer containing a specific amt. of asphalt, a process oil and a thermoplastic block polymer of a styrene monomer and a butadiene monomer in a specific wt. ratio.

CONSTITUTION: An improved and preformed flexible sheet-like laminate consists of a support film and a bituminous component layer containing 29-54 wt.% asphalt, 25-50 wt.% process oil and 16-35 wt.% thermoplastic block polymer of styrene and butadiene monomers. The bonding of a sufficiently strong and durable waterproofing laminate-structure fitted to the specifications and standards of the building industry related when adapted to a structure, not treated with a primer at a temp. of 40° F or higher is formed. The pref. thermoplastic block polymer of the styrene and butadiene monomers is a mixture of a polymer with a butadiene-styrene ratio of 70:30 and a block polystyrene content of 30% and a polymer (low mol.wt. polymer) with a butadiene-styrene ratio of 75:25 and a block polystyrene content of 18%.
