PURPOSE: To enable the continuous printing without any displacement between the print suspended position and reprint position by a method wherein after the second information is printed, a thermal head is returned to a point before the predetermined point retroactive to the first information print suspended point and the printing is resumed from the print suspended point.

CONSTITUTION: A CPU 14 has functions such as storing the moving point of a plot covering the predetermined points except the continuous plotting of the data and stopping of a thermal head 18 during the plotting thereof; printing time indicating characters by suspending continuous plot at the predetermined time and returning a thermal head 18 to a point before the predetermined point to resume plotting after the time is printed. The thermal head 18 is moved to the direction of point (b) to resume plotting, but the data recording is not carried out until it reaches the point (b). When the thermal head 18 reaches the point (b), the continuous plotting is resumed. The plotting resumption at the suspended point causes no discontinuity and a smooth plotting can be carried out despite the suspensions.
