Abstract:
To provide a printed matter and a printing method, which can ensure high security.
A face image 2 which is a multivalued image, a ghost image 3 which serves as a face image having a lower density than the face image 2, characters 4, and a pattern 5 are printed on the printed matter 1, respectively. In the printed matter 1, the ghost image 3 is printed in such a manner that the pattern 5 to be printed on the printed matter 1 is embedded as a binary image 6, so as to be resistant to a person's perception.
