Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rotary offset printer, facilitating the removal as well as the replacement of a blanket and a printing sleeve, improved in system performance, and equipped with a self-driving type cylinder for removing the gap of a driving system.
SOLUTION: A blanket 21 and a printing sleeve 52 are supported through cantilever type supporting. The cantilever type cylinder permits temporary supporting, attachment, detachment and replacement of the blanket 21 and the printing sleeve 52 in the axial direction thereof without removing any bearing. Respective cylinders are supported rotably on a cantilever type auxiliary shaft 34 having holes. A driving shaft 54, connected to a driving motor 56, is extended through the holes of the auxiliary shaft and is engaged with the internal surface of a hollow cylinder. The blanket cylinder or the printing sleeve, attached to the cylinder, can be removed by compressed air and is sent out through a plurality of radial passages in the flange 62 of the end of driving shaft and the holes in the driving shaft. According to this method, the sleeve is slid freely.
