Abstract:
To solve a problem that a temperature detector must be added in a head driver IC when detecting temperature in an inkjet printer.
The printer includes a count section 851 for counting the number of signals for regulating a discharge period at which ink is discharged to one pixel from a nozzle, and a discharge control section 852 for controlling so that the ink is not discharged from the nozzle when the number of the signals counted by the count section 851 exceeds a predetermined threshold value and when it is determined that a communication result with a discharge data control section is abnormal.
