Abstract:
To provide an inexpensive printer capable of making an unerased portion inconspicuous at erasing, and to provide a method of manufacturing the same.
This printer has a card 2 having a thermal printing layer formed on its surface and a printing body 25 including a thermal head 6 and a control section. The control section allows the thermal head 6 to print on whole surface of the thermal printing layer before normal printing and/or erasing is performed. After that, the control section allows the thermal head 6 to erase the whole surface thereof. The control section allows the thermal head to perform the printing and the erasing one time, respectively only when the card 2 is new.
