To provide a printing apparatus and a printing method, for printing paste on a plurality of substrates through simple constitution efficiently with high precision.
The printer has what is called a dual-lane structure in which two mutually different transfer lanes (namely, transfer paths of conveyors 31A, 21A and 32A and transfer paths of conveyors 31B, 21B and 32B) are provided on one printing stage 20, and two substrates 1A and 1B are fixed to the printing stage 20. When a relative difference (relative precision difference) between a position shift of a pattern to be printed from the substrate 1A and a position shift of the pattern to be printed from the substrate 1A is within an allowable range, and an amount of a relative position shift (relative position shift amount) between the substrates 1A and 1B fixed to the printing stage 20 is equal to or less than an allowable value, paste printing on the substrates 1A and 1B is maded altogether by single-time squeeze movement.
