Title:
PRINTER WITH PRECISE HEADING MECHANISM OF SHEET
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP3785923
Kind Code:
B2
Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problem of a printer comprising a photosensor for detecting presence of a recording sheet and performing motor control using a voltage value detected through the photosensor at each position by feeding forward or backward the sheet in order to detect the position more accurately that the detection accuracy deteriorates when the photosensor is located remotely from a roller for actually driving the sheet. SOLUTION: A photosensor 122 is disposed between notched rollers 172b and 172c meshing a roller in the rear of a sheet discharging side roller 152 out of two rollers 151 interlocked to rotate synchronously. Furthermore, a carriage 13 mounting a print head moves between two rollers. The photosensor 122 has an optical axis located closer to the sheet discharging side on the sheet passage than the center (nip point) of the notched rollers 172a-172d.
