Abstract:
PURPOSE: To obtain a printer with timing belt twist correction function which can remove the twist of a timing belt relative to a carriage occurring in the adjustment of a printing gap to previously prevent such a problem as a deterioration of a printing quality caused by the twist of the timing belt just after a gap setting.
CONSTITUTION: On the reception of a first printing command after a printing gap is adjusted in accordance with a thickness of paper to be printed, a carriage 2 is moved before a printing action is started, whereby the twist of a timing belt 13 is removed. In this manner, at the time of printing, a carriage rising by a motor can be smoothly conducted, and such a problem as a deterioration of a printing quality is eliminated.
