Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a printer capable of detecting a tilt of a medium to be printed with respect to a print head even for a transparent medium to be printed.SOLUTION: A printer comprises: a base having an arrangement surface formed with a plurality of suction holes; a print section including a print head performing printing on a sheet arranged on the arrangement surface; and a control section 30 including an image generation section 32 generating an image for being printed on the sheet by the print section. The base comprises: a suction section suctioning the sheet to the arrangement surface via the plurality of suction holes; and pressure sensors 17 measuring pressures of the suction holes. Further, the control section 30 detects a tilt of the sheet with respect to the print head on the basis of pressure values of the pressure sensors 17, and the image generation section 32 corrects the image in response to the tilt of the sheet with respect to the print head.
