Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a printing control method for printing at a high speed by using a multiprocessor, particularly, a laser printer and a shuttle printer.
SOLUTION: The printing control method performs plotting processing and printing processing of respective pages by a plurality of processors according to a printing command by storing the printing command ranging over a plurality of pages in a command buffer. When successively allocating the plotting processing of a different page to the different processors, a printing command row ranging over a plurality of pages in the command buffer is read, and empty plotting for setting a plotting attribute parameter of the respective pages is performed without performing actual plotting (real plotting), and the real plotting is performed by the respective processors on the basis of the printing command row according to the set plotting attribute parameter on a page of finishing the empty plotting.
