Abstract:
To solve various problems in detection of residual vibration.SOLUTION: A driving signal generating part, during printing processing, generates a driving signal which includes a first driving waveform by which a first discharge part is driven to discharge liquid and a first fine vibration waveform by which the first discharge part is driven but the liquid is not discharged, and during discharge-state determination processing, generates a driving signal which includes a second driving waveform by which the first discharge part is driven to inspect the first discharge part and a second fine vibration waveform by which the first discharge part is driven but the liquid is not discharged. The first driving waveform becomes a first electric potential during a first period, becomes a fourth electric potential during a second period and becomes the first electric potential during a third period. The second driving waveform becomes a second electric potential during a fourth period, becomes a third electric potential during a fifth period and becomes the second electric potential during a sixth period. A first fine vibration waveform is different from a second fine vibration waveform.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 9
