To release temporarily recording paper almost adhering to a roller or a print head and prevent complete adhesion from occurring by reversing the recording paper after rotating normally after fixed time elapses during waiting, in printing equipment with an automatic cutter.
During a normal printing operation, recording paper 2 is printed while pressed to a print head 3 by the rotation of a roller 1 and fed simultaneously, cut by a fixed cutter 5 and a moving cutter 4, and discharged. On the other hand, during waiting, after fixed time elapses, the recording paper 2 is prevented from adhering completely by delivering by the rotation of the roller 1, returning by the reverse rotation of the roller 1, and thereby releasing temporarily from near adhesion to the printing head 3 or the roller 1. After that, the moving cutter 4 is operated to control oxidation, rusting, and hardening of grease, etc., in the parts of the automatic cutter mechanism.
