Abstract:

To provide a printing managing apparatus, an image forming apparatus, and a printing managing method by which a paper sheet being an image formation medium can be efficiently managed.

The printing managing apparatus includes a log memory 24d, an allowed amount memory 24e, a counting unit, a calculating unit, and an output unit. The log memory 24d stores, in association with user identification information, information indicating a paper sheet printed by the image forming apparatus according to an instruction of a user or information indicating a paper sheet discarded by the user. The allowed amount memory 24e stores allowed amounts of paper sheets usable by respective users. The counting unit counts the number of un-discarded paper sheets among the paper sheets printed by a certain user stored by the log memory. The calculating unit calculates a usage ratio of paper sheets from the number of un-discarded paper sheets counted by the counting unit and the allowed amount of paper sheets for the user stored by the allowed amount memory. The output unit outputs information including the usage ratio of paper sheets calculated by the calculating unit.
