To provide a method and an apparatus for printing which are free of fogging due to light, heat, pressure, etc., adverse influence on photographic performance, fouling of a product and a process, etc., and have no restriction of the attitudes of printed matter and a printer and eliminate the need for periodic maintenance.

A cover label 8 formed of heat-sensitive recording paper is stuck on a protection cover 6 which holds a plurality of recording films 2 inside. This cover label 8 is irradiated with low-output CO2 laser light by a laser marker 43 to print processing history data in bar code. A bag label formed of heat-sensitive paper is stuck even on a wrapping bag for wrapping the recording films 2 and protection cover 6. On the bag label, various directions and processing history data are printed by the laser marker.
