PURPOSE: To obtain a screen gauze superior in ink permeability and suitable for a high-accuracy printing.
CONSTITUTION: A printing screen gauze is formed by the following method: a twill screen gauze made of a core-sheath-type composite monofilament, in which a polyester component having a high dissolving speed in an alkaline solvent is used as a sheath component and a polyester component having a dissolving speed lower than that of the sheath component is used as a core component, is set in a gray fabric state, and the sheath component is substantially dissolved in an alkalie solvent to be removed. In this printing screen gauze, a single yarn fineness is 7d or less, a number of yarns per inch is 400 mesh or more, an opening area is 30% or more, and a breaking strength is 25Kg/5cm or more. Therefore, a high-mesh screen gauze ensuring an opening area at a high accuracy and having a high ink permeability is obtained.
