Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problem in which a photoacoustic wave generated from an element surface may become noise with respect to a photoacoustic wave from a subject.SOLUTION: A probe has an element that receives an acoustic wave generated in a subject by application of light, a first light reflection film, and an acoustic lens, with the first light reflection film disposed between the element and the acoustic lens and reflecting light in a band comprising a wavelength of the light applied to the subject.
