PURPOSE: To prevent an initial end of paper from damage in a device folding continuous paper from a printing machine, by detecting the first page arranged on a mount and opening temporarily downward then closing another divided mount of paper.
CONSTITUTION: The first page of paper is adapted to a hollowed part A of a right side divided mount 102, folded in accordance with a folding way of perforation and arranged, then the paper is detected by a light emitting element 11' and light receiving element 12'. This detected signal turns a left side divided mount 101 downward, then the initial end of the paper is caused to jump upward by rigidity. When the left side divided mount 101 is reset upward, the initial end of the paper is lifted by the upper surface of the reverting divided mount 101, then the first page of the paper is extended on a horizontal paper mount 10. Further in case of a left side folding way, the paper is detected by light emitting element 11 and light receiving element 12.
