A processing device comprises: a sound signal reception unit which receives sound signals; a non-voice sound detection unit which detects non-voice sound signals from the sound signals received by the sound signal reception unit; a storage unit which stores detection patterns of the non-voice sound signals in association with control information; a control information acquisition unit which acquires the control information corresponding to a detection pattern of the non-voice sound signals detected by the non-voice sound detection unit, from the storage unit; and a control unit which controls the control target unit on the basis of the control information acquired by the control information acquisition unit.
