To provide a processing device which can control a control target unit according to non-voice sound included in input sound and eliminate the non-voice sound from the input sound.
A processing device comprises: a sound signal conversion unit which collects ambient sound and converts the collected sound into sound signals; a non-voice sound detection unit which detects non-voice sound signals from the sound signals into which the sound signal conversion unit has converted the collected sound; a storage unit which stores detection patterns of the non-voice sound signals in association with control information for controlling a control target unit; a control information acquisition unit which acquires control information corresponding to a detection pattern detected by the non-voice sound detection unit, from the storage unit; a control unit which controls the control target unit on the basis of the control information acquired by a pattern recognition unit; and a non-voice sound elimination unit which eliminates the non-voice sound signals detected by the non-voice sound detection unit from the sound signals.
