Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To secure the reliability of a mail work by detecting the state of an address form on which prescribed items are entered in a transmission station and performing correction to a normal state when the address form is other than the normal state. SOLUTION: In an electronic mail service system S, contents relating to mail are read and converted into image data in the transmission station Mt, the image data are transmitted to a reception station Mr and the mail is prepared based on the received image data in the reception station Mr. At the time, the address form Pa to which marking is executed for preparing the envelope of letter mail Po by printing the image data received in the reception station Mr on an envelope form is used. When the address form Pa on which the prescribed items are entered in the transmission station Mt is set to an image scanner 1, the state of the set address form Pa is detected by reading the marking, and when the address form Pa is other than the normal state, processing for correcting it to the normal state is performed.
