Abstract:
To provide processing method for a metal tube by which a metal tube can be stably fixed when a groove is formed in the metal tube, thus improving productivity.SOLUTION: A processing method for a metal tube includes: a first half-cut groove formation step of exposing a first face of a square prism body 8 in which an external surface of a metal tube 2 is covered with resin in a square prism shape and forming first half-cut grooves 22a, which do not reach a center, in the square prism body 8 in a longitudinal direction by means of a cutting blade 20 while index-feeding it at predetermined intervals; a second half-cut groove formation step of exposing a second face orthogonal to the first face and forming a second half-cut groove in a middle between the first half-cut grooves adjacent to each other; a third half-cut groove formation step of exposing a third face located on an opposite side of the first face and forming a third half-cut groove on an opposite side corresponding to the first half-cut groove; and a fourth half-cut groove formation step of exposing a fourth face located on an opposite side of the second face and forming a fourth half-cut groove on an opposite side corresponding to the second half-cut groove.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 5
