To provide an inexpensive processor for electronic endoscopes, which is capable of outputting an image captured by each electronic endoscope in the subordinate-superior relationship as a digital signal to the outside while preventing the apparatus from being enlarged.
The processor for electronic endoscopes has an image processing means for generating a first digital signal by processing the image signal transmitted from the electronic endoscope electrically and optically connected to the processor, a signal converting means for converting the analogue signal output from at least one outside device to a second digital signal, and a digital signal output means for outputting at least one of the first and second digital signals to the outside.
