Abstract:
To provide a method which can produce an ethylene/α-olefin random copolymer, under highly active conditions which has a wide mol.wt. distribution and excellent processability and of which the mol.wt. distribution can be freely adjusted in order to adapt to various processing conditions.
This method produces a copolymer having a Q value (wt. average mol.wt./number average mol.wt.) in gel permeation chromatography of 3.0 or higher by copolymerizing (a) ethylene and at least either (b) a 3-20C α-olefin or (c) a polyene in the presence of a catalyst prepared by using at least two transition metal complexes each containing at least one bidentate ligand having at least one cyclopentadienyl backbone.
