Abstract:
PURPOSE: To produce the compound useful as a raw material for polymer photostabilizer in a high efficiency using an easily removable catalyst by reacting acetone, etc., with ammonia in the presence of an Mg.Al complex compound.
CONSTITUTION: This 2,2,6,6-tetramethyl-4-oxopiperidine or 2,2,4,4,6- pentamethyl-2,3,4,5-tetrahydropyrimidine is produced by reacting (A) at least one kind of compound selected from acetone and condensed acetone with (B) ammonia in the presence of (C) an Mg.Al complex compound. Preferably, the component C is a compound expressed by formula (A is an anion; X, Y and Z are positive numbers satisfying the formulas 1/4≤X/Y≤8 and Z/(X+Y)>1/20 and the component A is diacetone alcohol, etc.
