Abstract:

PURPOSE: To obtain 2CR material for a welded can of a high strength very thin steel sheet having superior flanging workability by rolling and heat treating a steel contg. specified amts. of C, Mn, Si, P, Al and N under prescribed conditions.

CONSTITUTION: A steel consisting of, by weight, 0.03W0.08% C, 0.05W0.6% Mn, ≤0.03% Si, ≤0.06% P, 0.02W0.1% Al, ≤0.01% N and the balance Fe is refined and subjected to hot finish rolling at the A3 point or above. The resulting sheet is coiled at 630W711°C or held under soaking, descaled, cold rolled and continuously annealed. Overaging treatment at 300W450°C for ≥30sec and secondary cold rolling at ≥15% draft are then carried out to obtain stock for plating.
