Abstract:

To provide a process for production of carbon nanotubes in fiber form or other agglomerate form, or producing into a desired shape.

A process for production of an agglomerate includes: a step of passing a flow of one or more 500-1,600°C gaseous reactants into a reactor; a step of making the one or more gaseous reactants react within the reaction region of the reactor to form product particles; a step of making the product particles condense into an agglomerate; and a step of directing mechanical force, electrostatic force, or magnetic force to the agglomerate to continuously move it outside the reaction region.
