PURPOSE: To improve the uniformity of residual carbon content, shrinkage and flexural strength of the subject board by preparing a laminate of green sheets containing glass ceramic powder, binder, plasticizer and dispersing agent at specific ratios and calcining the laminate in a non-oxidizing atmosphere under prescribed condition.
CONSTITUTION: A slurry containing 100 pts.wt. of glass ceramic powder, 5-20 pts.wt. of a binder, 2-10 pts.wt. of a plasticizer and ≤2 pts.wt. of polyethylene glycol oleic acid ester as a dispersing agent is prepared beforehand. The slurry is formed and the obtained green sheets are laminated. The laminate is heated in a non-oxidizing atmosphere at 400-500°C to remove the binder. The heat- treated product is prebaked at a temperature higher than the above and then baked at a temperature higher than the prebaking temperature.
