Title:
PRODUCTION OF BRUSH FOR ELECTROPHOTOGRAPHIC COPIER
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPS5635161
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To prevent the decrease in copy image quality by cleaning the hydrophilic material having stuck on the surface of artificial fibers at the producing of brush elements.

CONSTITUTION: Raw "Teflon" yarns are tufted at 6,000W7,000-piece densities per cm2 on a base fabric of cotton to make a brush element which is then wound spirally on a paper tube to make a bush for cleaning. At the production of this brush element, the raw "Teflon" yarns are cleaned and dried to get rid of oil at the stage when they are tufted on the base fabric. This prevents the hydrophilic material having stuck on the brush from transferring to the photoreceptor and the blurring of the circumferences of the fine line portions owing to the decrease in the resistance of the photoreceptor surface from occuring, whereby the copies of good image quality may be obtained.
