Title:
PRODUCTION OF CALCIUM PHOSPHATE-BASED CERAMIC
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP3725935
Kind Code:
B2
Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of producing a calcium phosphate-based ceramic by readily preparing a stable solution containing calcium and phosphorus without inducing sedimentation of calcium component and drying the solution, then baking.
SOLUTION: A salt of calcium such as nitrate or chloride is dissolved in a solvent, especially an organic solvent such as methanol or ethanol, and further a chelating agent containing phosphorus such as a phosphonic acid derivative is added to the solution, and stirred. then, the surface of a base material such as titanium or alumina is coated with the solution and dried to remove the solvent. An crganic component is removed by subjecting to heat-treatment at 250-400°C for 5-20min and the residual is baked at 600-1,300°C to obtain a uniform calcium phosphate-based ceramic such as hydroxyapatite or calcium phosphate. When a base material previously formed in a shape of an organic hard tissue-substituting part material, the organic hard tissue-substituting part material having high strength and excellent in organic activity is obtained.
