PURPOSE: To make the alignment of a photomask easy by coating the mark for aligning a substrate with the photomask, with a water repellent material, and then, by coating the body to be dyed with a photosensitive dyestuff on the glass substrate formed a transparent electrode with the prescribed dyestuff.
CONSTITUTION: The marks 3 for aligning the photomask are formed on adequate points of a substrate, when the transparent electrode 2a is formed on the glass substrate 2. And then, the body to be dyed with the photosensitive dyestuff 5 such as a gelatin is coated on the glass substrate 2 in a form of an aqueous solution thereof. The photomask 6 is covered on the glass substrate 2 aligning the photomask 6 with the prescribed mark 3, and then, exposed. Thus, when coating the substrate with the prescribed body 5, as the part of the mark 3 is coated with the water repellent material 4, the prescribed part is not coated with said body 5, thereby enabling to clearly find the mark 3 and resulted to rapidly and exactly aligning the photomask 6 to the prescribed mark 3.
