Abstract:

PURPOSE: To completely densify a mixture composed of specific 7 kinds of compds. at relatively low temp, by combining thus mixture.

CONSTITUTION: A soln. prepd. by dissolving a mixture composed of aluminum-S butoxide, titanium isopropoxide and tetra-ethoxysilane in 2-propanol at room temp., a soln. prepd. by dissolving a mixture composed of magnesium 2-4 pentadionate, zirconium 2-pentadionate and zinc 2-4 pentane into 2-propanol and a soln. prepd. by dissolving lithium 2-4 pentadinate into methanol at room temp. are mixed. Nitric acid is added at need to this mixture to adjust its pH to 3 to 4 and the mixture is gelatinized by adding water thereto and thereafter this gel is dried, pulverized and calcined, by which lithium oxide-alumina- silica glass powder is obtd. This powder is then supplied to a mold and is packed therein by vibrating the mold and lightly tapping the mold. After the mold is hermetically sealed, an isotatic pressure is applied thereon, by the completely dense near-net-shape parts are obtd.
