Abstract:

PURPOSE: To provide a method for peoducing a regenerated cellulose/polyester composite fibrous woven or knitted fabric having soft touch and drape and elegant hue and apperance.
CONSTITUTION: This method for producing composite fiber woven or knitted fabric is characterized by weaving or knitting mixed yarn, containing 85-10wt.% polyester fiber having ≤3.0 denier size and 15-90wt.% regenerated cellulosic fiber having ≥3% difference in shrinkage factor in boiling water from taht of the polyester fiber and ≤2.0 denier size and having 2-8 twist coefficient, subjecting the resultant woven or knitted fabric to the relaxing treatment and alkali treatment, further bringing the obtained fabric into contact with an acidic aqueous treating liquid and developing fibrils of the regenerated cellulosic fiber.
