Title:
PRODUCTION OF COMPOSITE ZINC PLATED STEEL SHEET HAVING HIGH CORROSION RESISTANCE
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPH01294896
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:
PURPOSE:To improve the uniform dispersibility of oxide particles in a plated film and in a plating bath and to obtain the title composite zink plated steel sheet having a highly uniform film by adding a small amt. of a specified aliphatic cationic surfactant to an acidic zinc electroplating bath contg. a sol of oxide particles. CONSTITUTION:A galvanized composite steel sheet having a zinc-based composite plating layer wherein the particles of oxides such as SiO2 and TiO2 having <=1mum mean diameter are dispersed is produced under the following conditions. Namely, an acidic plating bath added with 1-10ppm aliphatic cationic surfactant based on the oxide particles is used to coat a steel sheet with a highly corrosion resistant composite zink plating. An amine salt-type surfactant such as coconut amine acetate can be exemplified as the surfactant. The method can be applied in pure zinc plating and in zinc alloy plating.
