PURPOSE: To produce decorative sheets having specified design pattern continuously by pressing decorative sheets coated with paint to form relief pattern using a pressing roll which rotates by the contact friction with the decorative sheets.

CONSTITUTION: A pressing roll 2 which can not rotate by itself but can rotate by the contact friction with a decorative sheet A is provided to an upper and shorter section of a transporting conveyor 1. Many relief patterns B and formed by distributing liquid drops on the surface of the decorative sheet A by coating the sheet with paint. The surface of the relief pattern B is pressed continuously with said roll 2 while moving the decorative sheet A on the conveyor 1. Projected parts of many relief patterns B formed by random scattering of the liquid drops are appropriately flattened, thus, continuous design pattern is obtd.
