Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the variation of qualities of a product caused by the variation of calorific value of waste plastic resulting from water content contained in the waste plastic in producing quicklime/baked dolomite by a rotary kiln using the waste plastic.
SOLUTION: Waste plastic particles are dried by taking advantage of a sensible heat at the exhaust gas outlet of a rotary kiln 6 to make the water content in the waste plastic particles a fixed amount or smaller than it. The dried waste plastic 12 together with a main fuel is fed to the rotary kiln and burned. In the case of using multiple kinds of waste plastics, these waste plastics are mixed so as to give a fixed calorific value and used as a fuel.
