To efficiently regenerate a fine particle toner by classifying and separating a fine particle toner, heating to fuse or soften the toner, extruding the obtd. fused or softened toner by a extruding machine and mixing the extruded material into a kneaded material after a kneading process before a cooling process.
The fine particle toner collected in a classifying process is subjected to processes to heat and fuse or soften and to extrude the fused or softened material by the extruding machine. Then the extruded material is returned to the stage between the kneading process and the cooling process. For example, toner source materials are compounded by specified proportions, mixed in a Banbury mixed or the like, fused and kneaded, pulverized and classified to produce the toner having about ≤30μm average particle size, especially 3 to 20μm. The separated fine particle toner having smaller particle size than the above size is fused or softened by heating in the press extruding machine, and the obtd. fused or softened material is extruded by the extruding machine. The extruded material is then mixed into the kneaded material after the kneading process and before the cooling process so as to use the fine particle toner again.
