To provide a method for embroidering capable of producing embroideries by a usual Jacquard embroidering machine, while the embroideries have three dimensional effects.

This production of embroideries having loops comprises the step of embroidering a cloth 10, the step of carrying out embroidering with retaining threads 4 in a state to press the upper threads 2 constituting the embroidery and the step of removing the lower threads 3 constituting the embroidery. The loops 2a are formed in a state in which the upper threads 2 are pressed by the retaining threads 4. In the other means, an embroidered body having the loops 2a formed with the upper threads 2 pressed by the retaining threads 4 is obtained by removing the cloth 10.
