Abstract:
PURPOSE:To produce easily a fine metallic wire at a low cost with high productivity by conducting electricity to a fine metallic wire cathode in a through-hole of a plate or block and an anode in an electrolyte and drawing the metal deposited to the cathode from the through-hole. CONSTITUTION:At least one surface having the through-hole 4 of the plate or block 3 having the through-hole 4 is immersed into the electrolyte 6 for copper plating, etc. in an electrolytic cell 5. The fine metallic wire 1 is inserted into the hole 4 from the side opposite from the immersion side thereof and the end face thereof is immersed into the electrolyte 6. Electricity is conducted between such wire 1 as the cathode and the anode 7 disposed in the electrolyte 6. A metal such as Cu is thereby deposited on the end face of the wire 1 in the through-hole 4 and the deposited metal is drawn together with the wire 1 by which the fine metallic wire of the Cu, etc. is obtd. The inside wall of the hole 4 is preferably formed of an insulator such as fluoroplastic having smoothness. The electrodeposition is accelerated by oscillating ultrasonically the above-mentioned plate or block 3.
