Abstract:
PURPOSE: To subject a nonwoven fabric sheet to flame-retardant processing at high speed.
CONSTITUTION: Filament nonwoven fabric 12 composed of synthetic fiber, partially bonded by heating under pressure, is used as a material. The material is passed through an impregnating bath 11 and impregnated with a flame- retardant. Then the material is sent through a dryer 17 while tension is applied to the material by tension rolls 18 and 19 at before and behind positions of the dryer 17. Consequently, conventional gripping of the nonwoven fabric at both ends with clips or pins is not required to greatly speed the processing up.
