Abstract:
PURPOSE:To safely obtain the subject material, capable of controlling the molecular weight, excellent in heat resistance and useful as an optoelectronic material, etc., by subjecting a specific dihalogermane to the electrode reaction under specific conditions, forming a polygermane, adding a trihalosilane, etc., thereto and further performing the electrode reaction. CONSTITUTION:A dihalogermane expressed by formula I (R is H, alkyl, aryl, alkoxy, amino or silyl; X is halogen) is subjected to the electrode reaction by using a perchlorate as a supporting electrolyte, an aprotic solvent as a solvent, Mg, Cu or Al as an anode and an electrically conductive material of the kind same as or different therefrom as a cathode to form a linear polygermane expressed by formula II (n is 10-100). A compound expressed by the formula RSiX3 or SiX4 or both are added to the obtained polygermane and the resultant mixture is subjected to the electrode reaction for changing over the polarity of the electrodes to afford the objective material composed of a structural unit expressed by formulas III or IV and/or a structural unit expressed by formula V.
