Abstract:
PURPOSE: To provide a process for inactivating an esterase existing together with a D-amino acid oxidase in an enzymatic conversion of cephalosporin C into glutaryl-7-aminocephalosporanic acid with the D-amino acid oxidase.
CONSTITUTION: An enzyme group containing oxidase and esterase is contacted with 10-2,000ppm of a Cu compound and used in the production of glutaryl-7- aminocephalosporanic acid from cephalosporin C with a D-amino acid oxidase.
