Title:
PRODUCTION OF HEAT-RESISTANT RESIN MOLDING
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPS57164130
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To produce the titled molding having a heat resistance and excellent mechanical properties, by melt-molding a resin comprising a polyarylene sulfide resin and a nitrogen-containing resin, and then by thermal treatment.

CONSTITUTION: The titled molding is produced by melt-molding a resin composition of 30W99pts.wt. polyarylene sulfide resin having a repeating unit of -(Ar-S)- (where Ar is a divalent aromatic radical having a 6C-membered ring) as a main chain and 70W1pts.wt. nitrogen-containing aromatic resin having a glass transition point >100°C, and by thermal treating the molding at 240W280°C for ≥10hr. By this thermal treatment the thermal distortion temperature is remarkably increased ≥50°C and the bending modulus and other mechanical preperties are improved. It is assumed that cross-linking reaction in the solid phase may occur by activating the matrix resin in the molding under a severe thermal condition.
