Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To produce a high-molecular compd. soln. even from a combination of a high-molecular compd. and a solvent which usually swells but does not dissolve the compd. by swelling a high-molecular compd. other than a lower fatty acid ester of cellulose with a solvent, cooling the resultant mixture. and heating it.
SOLUTION: A high-molecular compd. other than a lower fatty acid ester of cellulose is swelled with a solvent. The resultant mixture is cooled and then heated to dissolve the compd. in the solvent. The swelling step is conducted pref. at a temp. in the range of from -10°C to +55 °C, usually at room temp. The cooling step is conducted generally at a temp. in the range of from -100 °C) to-10°C, pref. at a cooling rate of at least 1°/min. The heating step is conducted generally at a temp. in the range of 0-200 1I), pref. at a heating rate of at least 1 °C/min. Examples of the compd. are polyolefin, polyamide, and polystyrene.
