To obtain a polyurea or polyurethane-polyurea resin which adheres well to a substrate and is excellent in water-absorption properties, wettability, antistatic properties, and dyeability by introducing hydrophilic oxyethylene groups into side chains of the polymer by using a selected polyamine compd. and/or a selected diol.

In producing a polyurea or polyurethane-polyurea resin by using a polyamine component and/or a polyol component and an org. polyisocyanate as the essential reactants, a polyamine compd. having a group represented by the formula (A1 O is 2-4C oxyalkylene; m is 5-150; and R1 is H, a 1-18C alcohol residue, or a 1-18C fatty acid residue) in the main chain is used as at least a part of the polyamine component [and a polyol having a side chain represented by the formula : R2(A2O)n-(A1O means the same as A1; n means the same as m; and R2 means the same as R1) is used as a part of the polyol component].
