Abstract:
PURPOSE: To provide a production method capable of profitably producing L-ascorbic acid-2-phosphoric acid ester.
CONSTITUTION: A method for producing L-ascorbic acid-2-phosphoric acid ester or its salt is characterized by reacting L-ascorbic acid with acetone in the presence of boron trifluoride-ethyl ether complex or the mixture of the complex with acetic acid, reacting the obtained 5,6-O-isopropylidene-L-ascorbic acid with a phosphorylation reagent, which is produced by reacting oxyphosphoric chloride with water in a molar ratio of 1:1 to 1:2.5, at a pH of 8-12, hydrolyzing the reaction product to release the 5,6-positions-protecting group, and, if necessary, subsequently converting the product into the salt.
